Sikh architecture seems to always be ornate and beautiful.
I of course noticed the golden dome right away – but the checkered steps, which seem impossibly smooth, also caught my attention.
Beautiful place. Are the 84 steps on the other side of the structure going downwards toward the water?
That’s a big, elaborate entrance, but then beautiful things abound in your country which makes it very interesting and a delight to see. Happy Wednesday.
marvellous
Beautiful building.
Lovely shot, and an inspiring story for Wordless Wednesday!
How fascinating the history and use of the building is, and what a lovely photo of it. Thanks, again, Sukhmandir!
Fantastic picture!!!
What stunning architecture! I really like how the gold dome stands out from the rest of the architecture.
It’s a beautiful building on the outside – I’m intrigued to see the interior after reading the description.
I love the sheen on the black and white tile. So seriously elegant.
How lovely – the photo, the story, and the tradition that came out of it.
What a fascinating story…a perfect match for this beautiful photo. I so look forward to visiting your blog on Wednesdays!
Is that pure gold on top of the building?
It’s such a peaceful and lovely place.
What a striking building.
