Nice fish portrait. What is the connection between the fish and the sacred waters?

(10) Sukhmandir Kaur says:

Devotees do feed them. I read this week that they were being feed slices of cumcumber, I imagine they feed on the algae and help keep the tanks clean. It’s interesting that the sign of a fish can have a spiritual connotation. These seem to lead very tranquil lives swimming in sacred waters.

How interesting, and a great photo! I wonder if they contribute in some way (physical or spiritual) in people’s ablutions…. I would think communing with them would increase the power of the experience.

(19) Mai Harinder Kaur says:

Jasleen ji is really a talented photographer!

As for the fish, talk about being at home in “the terrifying world ocean.” I have always thought about that when seeing the fish in the sacred sarovar. I’m not sure of the spiritual significance of that, although I do sense some sort of a lesson there.
