Interesting thought Amrit pal ji, Perhaps the khanda was chosen because it is flown on our flag Nishan Sahib at every gurdwara.

I think that the inclusion of all the interfaith symbols on this float says something very special and important about Sikhism.

May 26, 2010 at 9:49 am
(24) Potter Beth says:

How wonderful to see the symbols of other faiths on the float. It really means something when a faith welcomes those of other beliefs and underscores / exemplifies the entire message. I think all of us should begin with the prayer, “Let tolerance and respect begin with me.” Peace will then follow.

That’s True Linda, Sikhism is the World’s youngest and fifth largest religion, but in America there are fewer than a million Sikhs and so is sometimes very misunderstood.. However the Sikh population in the States continues to grow steadily.
