She came for a turban tying lesson, she looks so awesome in her beautiful voile dastar from GoSikh turbans, I just had to share her beaming smile with you for Wordless Wednesday. What do you think is she happy or what?
Satnaam.
Beautiful turban and beaming smile…she looks very happy..have a blessed day.
of course, I had to go reading all about tying a turban…who knew!
Well you must be with that great big smile. Good for you.
Have a terrific WW.
You won’t have to fuss with your hair. Did you know that the word tulip is derived from the Turkish word for turban?
Colleen, I didn’t know that. Thanks for that tidbit of trivia. I love tulips.
The turban is beautiful and she looks so happy and glowing!!!
She looks very happy indeed. I didn’t even know they had classes for turban tying. Until today, I thought turbans came that way. Don’t I feel silly.
She looks very happy indeed! And why not, she looks beautiful!
the turban looks good on her. she has every reason to put up her big smile.
Love the turban, and the smile!
I didn’t know turbans come in so many colors. You can wear a different one for every day of the week.
She certainly looks happy. I think there’s more to it than just the turban.
She was pretty thrilled with how her turban felt and looked. Her glowing radiance inspired me to capture her smile.
I agree about the colors – I didn’t know there was such a variety. Is there some significance to the different colors?
Some colors or styles may symbolize affiliation with a certain group. You can find out more reading “Why do Sikhs Wear Turbans?”
Definitely happy.
I have tried to tie a turban before and it was not easy (atleast for me)… Of course, my hubby was the one trying to teach me so that might explain it hehee. She does look happy.
Practice makes perfect, every so often I attempt to change styles and the process is definitely an evolution
I think I need to start the turban trend. I’m so tired of dealing with my hair. lol. I actually worked with a pharmacist once that wore one. I think it is wonderful to be that disciplined and faithful…
She has hip length heavy hair and told me it hurts to put in a bun, she expressed astonishment at how comfortable it was to manage her tresses with the turban. Be sure to let us know should you give it a try. I’m guessing you’d go with a springtime color
Love the smile… so many, many unspoken thoughts radiating from a very happy face. Great shot!
Lovely turban! Lovely photo!
Just perfect against wind and sun ! I learned from Berbers in Morocco how to put a scarf around my head like a turban and now I do it all the time instead of wearing these stupid sun hats or caps !
Love to see it, yes they are practical as well as pretty.
I wear a hat with a brim for sun protection of my face. I can see how a turban would protect the top of one’s head, but would it really serve the same purpose as a sun hat or cap?
What a lovely warm smile she has, it just bubbles right up from within.

That brilliant smile says it all.
I love her smile and she looks so happy.
I played too. Mine are here and here.
It looks great!
I agree with the previous commentor who said there’s more to the smile than just the turban. I didn’t know the kes was kept intact until I read the ten reasons. You always provide such educational information in addition to your photos.
