Featured: Yuba City Nagar Kirtan Parade 2012
The Yuba City Nagar Kirtan Festival has become so immense that it is impossible to see everything even with the vantage of riding on a float, although its a great perspective especially from a child's point of view.
Did you attend the 2012 Nagar Kirtan? Hope you'll share your photos so we can see what we missed. We have lots more so check back. Here are some of my favorite of the days end.
Sunday evening the parade ends as the Nagar Kirtan float carrying the Guru Granth Sahib arrives at Tierra Buena gurdwara in Yuba City, California.
The float which carried Guru Granth Sahib stands empty beside the gurdwara.
Worshipers congregate inside the gurdwara to pay respect to Guru Granth Sahib.
In praise of the Divine, Ragis sing hymns selected from Guru Granth Sahib as the day ends and darkness descends.
Lights illuminate the gurdwara gateway and outline the Khanda at the top of the Nishan sahib flag pole.

As always these celebrations look so cheerful and colorful ! When I think of catholic church parades !
What fun for a child to get to ride on a float in such a colorful parade! As always, I love your parade pictures.
Looks like a fun parade.
The photos from these events you share with us are always so uplifting. They are colorful and bright and everyone there looks so happy. I love to see moments like that. We should all have more of them.
Great parade, Great weather (for once) and at least a 100,000 people!
It was so crowded but really fun. The bazaar was awesome if you want to visit India and not spend the money or time to get there then come to Yuba City!
As always, amazing sites and colors. Thanks.
…a window into a colorful tradition, and I always look forward to seeing your first-hand images.
100,000 people, wow! I can just imagine all the sounds and smells and smiles.

I’m not an official “orb qualifier” but I have similar orb photos that my readers have shared featured in my spirit orb photo gallery… and I want to think these are orbs. Oh my! Multiple spirits came to join in the festivities. Cool.
Wonderful shots. Visiting late for WW.

Great looking festival! That orb photo is really cool! I wonder, could those orbs be Arcturians?
