My Two Front Teeth

Weekly Featured Photo: My Two Front Teeth

There is a song that goes, "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth",
but this little Singh holding a copy of My First Singh Book looks as though he already has every thing he wants.
His book is part of a set of two board books designed for beginning readers by Parveen Kaur Dhillon an educator and mother of three little ones.
Each book illustrated by Brian Krumm comes with its own coloring book included in the set.

Interesting twist on the song. Great photo. I get a kick whenever I see my kids with missing teeth. They look like they were in a fight or something.

I love the photo, and I love it when children have books that accurately reflect their own lives. That’s so important!

I was curious about your article on whether Sikh’s should celebrate Christmas and found it very balanced & informative. I find that also, being someone raised Christian, but who doesn’t attend church regularly, that it’s a time to be with relatives, and make the most of the giving spirit and sense of celebration that happens around this time of year. I like what you wrote about keeping the divine in mind, and the direction you want to grow.

I think it’s wonderful that this happy boy can read about his faith whenever he wishes. Of course, it’s wonderful that his parents can teach him about Sikhism, but it’s even more important that he begin to experience the joy of learning about the Sikh religion on his own. This joyful smile is a sign of even happier times to come!
