Anand Karaj is the Sikh term used for wedding, signifying the blissful business of marriage.

The Anand Karaj ceremony is conducted as outlined in the Sikhism code of conduct. The bride, groom and wedding party gather in the presence of the holy scripture Guru Granth Sahib. A series of eight or more hymns including the hymns of Laav are sung as the bride and groom complete four wedding rounds.
