It’s not at all difficult to learn as each symbol has a particular unchanging corresponding sound. It is possible to understand early on, though pronunciation and fluency though take time to perfect as with any language.

I’ve studied several languages, but so far have not had much success with the ones that don’t share our alphabet. I do like the idea of a language that is easy to learn phonetically…
