Birthplace of Guru Har Rai:
The Birthplace of Har Rai, the seventh Guru of the Sikhs is Kiratpur, formerly of District Hoshiarpur, which is the modern day Ropar District of Panjab. Kiratpur is located on the banks of the river Sutlej and is home to nine historic gurdwaras.
Birthdate of Guru Har Rai:
The birth of Guru Har Rai took place on the thirteenth day of the light half of the lunar month Magh, during the Sambat year of 1687, which corresponds to January 16, 1630 A.D. and is observed on January 31st of the Nanashahi Calendar.
Parentage of Guru Har Rai:
Mata Nihal Kaur, the revered mother of Guru Har Rai, also went by the name of Ananti or Natti. Her husband Gurditta , the father of Har Rai, was the eldest son of Mata Damodri ji and the sixth guru, Har Gobind of the Sodhi lineage.
